Jing Luo, Negative Energy & Nutrients (21)

Zinc (Zn) It is an essential mineral which is found in almost every cell in the body and is contained within more than 200 enzymes and substances needed for biochemical reaction. Zinc is important for a healthy immune system, for healing cuts and wounds, and for maintaining the sense of taste and smell. Nearly 100 different enzymes depend on zinc for their ability to catalyze a vital chemical reaction. Zinc also supports normal growth and development during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. The symptoms of severe zinc deficiency include the slowing or cessation of growth and development, delayed sexual maturation, characteristic skin rashes, chronic and severe diarrhoea, immune system deficiencies, impaired wound healing, diminished appetite, impaired taste sensation, night blindness, swelling and clouding of the cornea, and behavioural disturbances.
